New Transmission Section on Main Site

It was brought up in a different thread somewhere on here about possibly adding tranny info to the main site. One of the points made was so that I wouldn't have to continue to post 4Txx-x info anymore. Hey, that makes sense to me!

I would like to see the section grow to include all trannies that these engines have ever been bolted up to. With that said, any info that people have to provide would be great. I have just about all the info available for the 4T60-Es, but that's about it. Please email me if you have info about other trannies and I will get it up on the site.

For now, here is the link to what I have up for the 4T60-E right now:

You know, I'm usually the one that posts that (cause I was the one who orignally did). I wonder why I didn't come across it in my online files?!?! Oh well, thanks for bringing it up and I'll get it up right away.

Ok, well... it took FOREVER (well... I got it down after the first 15 or so), but all 4T60E TSBs are now on the site, and in a "printer friendly" layout. Hopefully some of you can/will use them so that not all my hard work was for nothing.

On a side note, we are planning on getting as many TSBs up for all of the trannies and engines. Its gonna take awhile, so don't expect anything soon, but look forward to it in the future.

I thought I saw somewhere recently that someone had done a writeup on the filter change, wish I still had the link......

I race in a front wheel drive class on a 1/4 mile high banked track. We need lots of speed and RPM's coming out of the turns. I cant get 2nd gear to kick in and believe my tranny is bad. I have a sunbird with a 3.1 and wondered if there is a certain tranny that could bolt up that would be better for my car than the one that is on there. I have heard from most people that they are all the same, but I think otherwise. I have also heard that the trannies out of 3100 are better and that you can snip a wire and make a artificial shift kit. Basically, what is the best tranny that will bolt up and is the shift kit thing true???

Wow... link from the past. What do you have? Zip it up and send it over and I'll try to get it on the site.
