    well heres the pictures of the throttle body. its sandblasted clean and ready for powdercoating. i also decided to cut half the throttle plate shaft, and polish it up.

    You'll need to remove the bearings before you powdercoat it. I'd say it will flow good enough without knife edging. But I see you said you did already. It will be cool to see the finished product.

    new pics

    well i finally got around to finishing up the lower intake. after buying 6-9'' porting shanks i could squeeze in the ports and get those done. the lower intake is the hardest to port , especially cyls 3 & 4 due to the curved ports. this weekend the UIM should be gettin welded up, and then off goes the timing cover, valve covers, intake manifolds, tb, and oil pan for powdercoating!

    looks really nice, but you don't want to leave the runners too smooth. you want some roughness for an air barrier. the small turbulent air underneath the higher velocity air with allow the air to pass faster through the runners. kinda like the difference of dragging your fingers across 600 grit sandpaper and freshly cleaned glass. your fingers almost stick to the glass and not the sandpaper. a wetflow bench, from what i understand, has determined that a slight fish scale finish in the areas where there is fuel, actually will flow better.
