i'm guessing thats you dave?
<---loves the exhaust, that is a True Dual setup? it sounds almost like my monte when i pull the vacuum line off for the brake booster.... it looks like i'm going to have to do some exhaust fab work when i have the money...
i've seen the install pics for the TG now. is it possible to even break it? it looks like the only thing that can even wear down is the springs. for $~200 it seems like a steal.
Yah, that's me. ARUR + 36lb injectors = cold weather fail. With BFUZ it fires off instantly.
yes, true duals in that clip.. it now has an X pipe so the idle is a little deeper and alot less rasp.
BTW, i'm pretty sure the N* shares the same bellhousing as us...

Hmm thats news to me to i was under the thought that it was the same as the V6 bell housing.. either way, if you want to go auto and hold more power then you can throw at it, the 4T80 is the way to go.... Or spends allot of $$ and build a 4T65-e HD (GTP trans....)

I think I'd rather go Standard. Also I've broken the 282 with a stock 4cyl before.
Oh and PS. The wifey has too lol..I was thinking it may fair better if it can be heavily strengthened.

I seriously doubt that..

depends on what broke...
few if any 4-cylinders make enough torque to break it with normal driving habits....

I'm not above being wrong. The car was a 96 DOHC 2.4L Cavalier z24 5spd. The trany failed twice! Jumped out of gear.
It may not even been the same trany but I'm pretty sure it was.
Also earlier you said as long as I dont grind 3rd and shift @ 6500 it "should" (meaning not sertain) hold up. What good is that when my factory motor red lined @ 7000, and chipped it was @ 7200? Not much, when you consider it would be mated to a twin turbo TDC. So if I was to turn up the boost that sucker will go up like a hand-grenade.
I'm not here for your approval son. Nor do I need to come here and spout lies to impress people I don't even know! I'm here to learn a few things and maybe help others if I can. I deal in facts..
I've been in the fast car game for years, mostly F-body and larger passenger cars. The fact is anything can be broken.......

Because stock sucks...
I know it's not the same trans as what I had in my Prelude, but when my Honda wouldn't stay in gear I changed the fluid in it. It never did it after that.

We replaced the trany, syncros were shot.. Also the seals leaked constantly, even after numerous repairs. They would hold for a while then start leak again.
