No, the OBDII links are ONLY scan tools, they do not support flash programming.

I was thinking more of this
    http://www.scantool.net/scan-tools/p...5-compact.html

and then this software for better datalogging capabilities.
    http://www.scantool.net/software/scanxl-std.html

If you want a programming suite, you need to find a DHP unit, or a HPTuners setup.

You may get better tools for scanning with the HPTuners setup right out of the box... I've found SOME things that work with the DHP unit, but not many.

I just installed my o;d 3100 computer and the car is feeling better, it will chirp in first ( witch it never did with the old comp) and seem to have a good top end. my butt dyno tells me its better but I have to try it on the track to see any actual differences. Oh and btw 3400-modified, if i datalog with my old computer would it be good to use as a base to tune my venture ecm?

Data-logging with the Venture PCM is needed to tune that... I need to know where I'm starting. I could use a 96 ECM in its place, and edit those tables, then when done export them to the 97 file... But since there are some differing items between the two I would rather datalog and edit the ECM your going to use in the end.

I wonder whats amiss on the other ECM...

i would go so far as to say before or close to... if there is any kind of reversion, then it could potentially draw in air during a pulse and mess with the O2...

yes the powertuner site still works plus you can go to uvscan forum and get that to do all the data logging. Uvscan is far better than what's built into DHP.
