    3400 tb swap

I'd like to start with a tb swap, 3400 tb onto my 3100. Will this require a re-tune?

Nope, slap it on and go. Tuning would help even a stock car but you certainly won't require a re-tune for the 56mm throttle body.

this is very true. going from 52 to 56 won't change AE characteristics that much.

Thanks, so if it doesn't change things too much, is it worth doing? Will I notice a difference at all?

You can tune and get better performance from it. You asked if tuning was required, and it is no where close to required. You will see a noticeable gain. Every 3100 owner should do this swap.

Thanks, at some point I'll do the top swap, but one thing at a time.....
