first one is slightly too small.... second is slightly too large...

    this however...

it looks like it scales fairly well with different boost levels as well.
    1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E, OBD1 Conversion...for now, future plans include a 3900, T04E-46 (Knock-Off) turbo (For the 3100, ~T61 for the 3900), and a F40.
OBD1.5 to OBD1 Conversion harnesses for sale, click THIS link or PM me for more information.
Need a wiring diagram for any GM car or truck from 82-06(and 07-08 cars)? PM me!

The GT2860R in the above link is an internal wastegate turbo. Is there a reason why noone seems to use internal wastegates when they turbo these engines? I know they are not as good for adjusting boost, but in my cse that might be a good thing. It will prevent me from getting greedy and damageing something.

wastegate control is part of the turbine housing, which the calculators have no control of, nor care of, since they don't effect the compressor at all.

i like externals due to ease of changing stuff, especially if it should fail.

The GT3076R has different turbine housing options (4 bolt & v-band) in A/R's of 1.06/.82/.63 What do you think would be the best option?

well, .63 would likely get you boost before 3000, and 1.06 probably wouldn't until at least 4000.... i would go with .82, but that's a decision of preference. you can have it spool early and start to choke up top, or have the boost threshold higher(not lag like most people like to think) and make better peak numbers, or you can have a mix of both...

That's kinda what I was thinking. Any advantage to v-band vs. 4 bolt outlets? I found a GT3076R with 38mm wastegate combo for $1700 includeing 1 yr. warranty & worldwide shipping. Is that a decent price?

Has anyone got a good source for Garrett turbos?

Would the TGP chip in my '7730 be a good place to start for tunning from?
