    Injector voltage

    1999 MC 3100 injectors. How much voltage is needed to bench test them to open and close......Tom

    think of it this way: there is a fuse in the electrical center specifically for the injectors... and the PCM grounds them to activate them.

    so, even though 5 volts would probably open them, it would do so much more slowly than they normally would.

    so, shoot for somewhere between 12 and 14.4 volts.

    ^ Agreed. I use 12v/.5A because it's a preset in my supply at work.


    1989 Camaro RS; Cammed 3500 swap, 45mm ITB's, Street/Strip Kitted 700R4, 3500 stall, Megashifter, 3.73 posi, EQ- LT headers, 3" Hooker Supercomp exhaust, etc...
