Gives me more room for extras

I plan on filling the space between the radiator and engine with an air to water intercooler.

It's getting tighter elsewhere though lol...

Still a lot of plumbing to finish up. Maybe by the end of 2010 it will be done

Ok, I need to get some current pics, (more factory looking vacuum lines, etc) but here it goes:

This is a L82 3100 (small port intake originally), with the following parts:
            LA1 3400 Lower intake ported
LX9 3500 Upper intake ported - custom chevrolet painting. (I masked the letters off)
LX5 3.5L DOHC Throttle body - 64/65mm to match the 3500 upper. From Olds Intrigue.

Very nice! Looks clean and stock. I really like the design of the 3500 UIM but unfortunately I dont think it will work on the camaro because of clearance issues with the cowl. Ill just have to settle for the 3400 UIM.....

Thanks! That was the goal. To look stock, but have a performance look to it. Sort of like the Corvette beauty covers for the LS1, only the manifold would be the cover.

You could chop the brake booster part off, weld it up, and tap the side somewhere... I think that was mentioned in the thread somewhere?

Sorry to burst bubbles, but it will take more than that...

Pics were deleted on this one, but on of the guys I worked with had milled the 3500 plenum to fit, and it was starting to get mighty thin. Even the 3400/3100 UIM needs the lettering shaved off to not rub the cowl.

Yea Im aware of the shaving that has to be done on the 3400 UIM....I might get a little creative with that, but we will see. With the 3500 UIM I wouldnt want to sacrifice everyday dependability by shaving and making it incredibly thin, thats risking a crack just by the normal heating and cooling of the engine, so yea Ill just use a 3400 upper and call it a day.

This one is for the mods......Would it be ok to make this a sticky? These pics could be good reference to anyone in the future looking to do a hybrid build. This is just a suggestion so what you guys want to do is up to you. You may change the title or edit anything in the thread if you so wish.

I'm actually just going to make a photo gallery on the 3x00swap site... So I will be saving all of the included photos onto our server.
