  • Ignition Coil Wiring

I feel like this is a really dumb question but I don't have any spare time lately to get to the junkyard to check before they close.

I am wiring up an LX9 in my 1999 Cavalier and am using a 1998 Monte Carlo 3.1 harness. I can't seem to figure out where on earth the plug is for the 3 pin connector on the ignition coil module next to the 6 pin connector.

Did I miss pulling a piece of this harness from the junkyard? Does this 3 pin go from the ignition coil straight to the crank sensor as a jumper? I'm thoroughly confused. Any help would be great!

Yes that is the crank sensor input... It's a 2 pin wire at the crank and 3 pin connector at the icm but still only 2 wires.

Yes it is effectively a separate harness.
