There's no way to get a distributor into the shaft. If you try trimming the head for clearance, you'll run into a coolant passage. Of course this is provisional upon using a different lower intake as well.

An ECU would be considerably less work, and wires can be hidden. ... Place an obstruction inside the intake tract to replicate cool hissing sound?

You can however put the distributor at the end of 1 of the cam shafts. Its been done befor on a Fiero swap. But realy who wants a distributor its just old tech like running win3.1 who does that.

yah... MPFI would be the way to go.

Also, just a note for anyone who finds this topic through searching. When you use a FWD 60v6 on a RWD trans like the 700R4 (and i'm assuming the 4L60E) you'll run into a flex plate issue. The RWD 2.8/3.1/3.4 flex plates are larger and you'll have to shim out the starter quite a bit. The FWD flexplate is too shallow and won't give proper, if any torque converter engagement to the trans.

The fix is to use a flexplate from a '95 2.2 S10. It is neutral balanced and also provides the proper spacing for the torque converter.

Credit goes to Mars for finding that out, here is the topic: http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/also...,start,90.html

i'll admit, i'm lacking in RWD 660 knowledge, so that bit of info is greatly appreciated.
