I just had to post a BIG THANKS to Sappy for his write up on changing out the alternator. I've Owned 3 Z34s and had been lucky enough to never have to change one. In fact, after reading the HAYNES procedures and reading about some of the nightmarish times, I'd vowed to take it straight to a shop and pay the devil his dues. I wanted to be educated on the process and ran across Sappy's write up with pictures and decided to give it a shot. With the exception of the couple extra steps that my neighbor had suggested- it went off without a hitch! It only took about 7 hours which is not bad considering I was outside in the Chicago area cold with all hand tools. Thanks again!!!
