  • Spark Plugs?

Ok now im stumped, i dont know what kind of plugs to use in my crate engine. its a 96/97 crate motor, it did not have plugs in it when i got it, i will be using a 91 ignition system on it, can i use the 91 plugs R42LTSM ?
or will this hurt my new crate engine? can i even use a 91 ignition system on this motor? i dont see why the 91 equipment wont work. well any input would be geat i do know that the 96/97 engines did have platinum plugs tho. thanks

      RE: Spark Plugs?

I think almost all GM DIS ignition systems haven't really changed to much over their run. So, it shouldn't be much of a problem. As for plugs I would go with either the stock AC's for the 96 model year, or just some rapid fires.

AC's are what I would use. Using the 96-97 plugs should be fine with the 91 ignition system.

I recommend AC Rapidfire 8's. I run them in both of our LQ-1s and they are excellent!
