3.4 DOHC manual trans identifiying

Ok i will be junkyard hunting very soon here for the shit i need for a tranny swap on my z34


now all my junkyards remove the engine / tranny before the cars even hit the yard, And i cant just ask them if they have any cars that had the 3.4 in the yard they will tell me to basically get lost.......


How can i tell if a certain cutless/gp/regal etc had a 3.4 in it? Is there any special firewall markings to tell ?

And will the center console and everything from a cutless/gp fit the lumina z34 correctly? Thanks

No regals had the DOHC. Look at the emissions sticker. Otherwise the dogbone mounting bracket setup might be useful. Firewall won't have any changes.
