'91 Grand Prix STE 3.4L DOHC.

Can the oil pan be removed with the engine in the car? If so are there any tricks to it?

You have to drop the subframe or raise the motor up to get the pan off. Or get creative with the plasma cutter and welder.

I removed the front mount from the subframe and held the engine from falling, then dropped the front of the subframe but it didn't help much. Should I remove the passangers side subframe bolts while leaving the drivers side connected? I'm about ready to put a bullet in the block because the bolt for the lower belt sprocket is stuck. Unless it's reverse threads. It's just one thing after another working on this engine. I'm not to interested in keeping a car that's this hard to work on. =)

no, you should remove all 4 bolts, the engine and trans mount bolts, and the rack bolt connecting it to the steering column.
