  • 1992 Lumina Z34 brake booster part numbers

I thought all Z34's had ABS. However, some place say with ABS and others say without. I need to get a new brake booster for my car but am confused by the part numbers. This is what I have found:

    GM 18016409
    GM 18060173
    Delco 178-424

Which one of these is the right part number for a 1992 Z34 with ABS?

I'm not certain on the numbers, but my 91 did NOT have ABS.

i would hope not too.... 91 = would have been powermaster III. 92 was the switch to ABS-VI.

according to alldata, for a 92, number is being shown as 18060173. IIRC, the 5 speed cars got a smaller booster to clear the clutch resivoir?
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

        I believe so.

Edit: I take that back. The reservoir is fine in the 91 with the auto booster, it's more for the clutch master cylinder I would imagine.

Mine is a 92 with 5-speed, so does that mean I need a different booster or master cylinder?

Looks like GM 18060173 is what I need. Who can tell me where I can get one (new...not remanufactured) for the cheapest price?

Who has experience with different boosters?

            Thanks,

            Tom
