  • Z Update July

Hey guys, car has been out since May, broke the engine in, have put about 10,000 km's on it so far, changed the oil many many times now She is running mint, I have been playing around with tuning for a while and I have it idling perfectly and lots of power throughout the powerband with my current chip and injector setup but of course there is always room for improvement and more power to unleash. I have won Best Engine at a couple of shows, one at our big J-body bash and another at a show which featured a couple of hundred import and domestic cars. I'm pretty happy it it. I put a lot of work and time into it and it has been great to finally enjoy it after the 2 and a half year struggle with the project which started out with building the 3400 for the 4 door.

Need more chrome under the hood. Then you could seriously blind everyone when the sun hits it

Best engine? They have an award for best engine? I have never heard of that, but then again, I don't go to car shows. Thats awesome I think you need some blue 60degreev6.com stickers for the back windows. Then you could be best in show:P

Thanks for the comments, had a blast, I was in the north eastern States many times this summer for lots of car shows, This year plan on doing the same, lots of cruising around, work on doing some more tuning, fix that rear main seal leak (doesn't leak too bad but still ) its just that we get a new bulletin from GM almost every two months with a revised seal and tool haha. I'll post some more pics and what not later on, Finally getting geared up for the warm weather. I know i'm 'behind the times' in the 3500 scene but I did a very good build on this one and I don't plan on doing anything else on it. Real estate has taken up those funds

how much did it cost to chrome the intake, valve covers and i think it looks like the LIM is chrome too?

and where the hell are the motor mounts? out getting chromed?

J bodies use different mounts than the newer cars do. it makes for a cleaner install.

All Gino's stuff is polished aluminum iirc. You should see it in person

really? i think the only way i could keep (what left of) my sanity and get it to look that good would involve chrome plating after lots and lots of sanding/milling
