  • 96 Beretta Project

So yeah found this local on Craigs List for $100 bux, just needs some edge and one corner repaired...

they are $549 new plus shipping...

so even if I spend $200 on body work to fix it, I'm still ahead.

Oh yeah for those that dont know... Full US-Body heavy duty 2" cowl hood, uses stock hinges and latch.

Yeah, I hate you to. Of course, I don't own my Beretta anymore... BUT, when I did, I was needing to replace the hood soon (tree fell on it and dented it), so I was planning on going with the US Body cowl hood. I was probably going to get the lightweight one and just get flush hood pins though. But yeah, you suck...

Wow, it looks WAY out of place on a old rusty base... LOL, definately will need work when aligning it too when it goes on the project for good.

Well here are some updated pics...

            (original build thread http://60degreev6.com/forum/showthre...ject-thread...)

Whole car is now one color and looking BADASS!!! lol

For those that don't know the whole car was stripped and fully re-painted base/clear style...

Just brought it home last night. Now the exterior matches the performance of the car... OH and now time to install the nitrous

Yes, the Grill needs to be aligned... I have buffed headlights that are going in there too so I'll do it then.

In the shop getting buffed out. Hood was open.

Those pics make it look darker than pink! cheater!!
Now you just gotta paint the trim around the garage doors all the way... LMAO!

Looks good with those wheels, solid grill, and black mirror housings.

I don't paint something I don't own... Thats the apartment complex I live at. They painted half of the units this year and I think they got the base coat on the garage done and then it got too cold to do the trim.

And it is darker than pink... In the sun it apears to be a richer Raspberry than what was on it and I think that was due to sun fade.

                        Yeah just giving ya crap!

That's cool that it's not so pink, yet blinds ok into the door trim areas. Looks like a nice color now. I'm having a hard time describing it... Kidney metallic? Liver sparkle? LOL. I like it.

More raspberry than before. I think you said the clear was fading too on it? Good thing you had it taken down to bare metal just in case it had issues like some 96's did with the paint coming off the (bad) primer that might have developed later on.

Car looks very sharp Jon. Must feel good to have a "complete" car in every regard, looks, power, and solid (no rust).

Oh and yeah go with the black bowtie instead of factory red. It will look mean with the black accents you have going on there. And the chrome lip on the wheels is just enough to top it all off. That cowl hood doesn't hurt either. Got the muscle car look and sound!
