  • Hello all 60*ers

Guess I have been lurking enough and its time to say hi.

I have been doing lots of reading and research here as I am planning to Boost a LX9 when I do the swap lol.

Never worked with Bost before so I have lots of reading. (currently also readin Maximum Boost by Corky Bell)

Lots of great info here as well as knowledgeable members I have found.

Hope to be able to help out others as I have been helped.

I am a little quiet on the exact details of my swap, as on most other forums I am on, I see so many plans and part piles that never get finished, I don't want to be one of those stats lol, so untill I am well underway with the work (and stop changing my mind and plans lol ) I will be quiet hehe.

    Great to be here!

a good start to a great build. judging by all the questions you're asking, i'd say you're on the right track and as long as the funding and motivation stays, you'll have a fun car soon enough.

Yes the old Plate was disgusting!

It did NOT come of my engine though, came from an Old Venture vaan here as I needed the Shaft.

Interesting design on the plenum. Did you sand the top, then paint it?

That is my sons work (he is 14) he used a scotchbright pad to smooth the top out, then painted it, then wet sanded 400 to 2000(raised areas), then painted it. then started the wet sanding again then clear coated it.
He did the upper mount bracket as well.

He is enjoying it and it keeps him off the streets lol.

That's good stuff, lol. I would actually expect Robert(Isaar) to really look it up just to see what it's for, lol. I would but I'm way too beat to even think about it.

i considered it, but i am a bit colorblind and i see about 20 "green" wires minimum.

Yeah, but there should only be one "light green", which would be easy to spot on a wiring diagram At least I was partially right, lol.
