  • 94 Sunbird LE from MN

My wife has had this car for awhile but just with in the last couple years I have cleaned it up and 3400 swapped it. I have always liked the v6 J-body platform and is nice to be able to mess around with it now. I restored it for my wife but she was to afraid to do anything with it after making look so much better that she never drove it. So I figured I would try it in autocross, and dang I was doing pretty good with it. Now this winter it will get more upgrades do to cracking rear axle, and other things to make it stick to the road better.

    Nice bird!

If your serious about auto x'ing I know of a gentlemen that has done some extreme suspension work on his 2nd gen z24.

very nice young gun. I am very serious about autoX, did it a lot this last year and brought home some trophies in SM and P. There will be a lot of suspension upgrades coming this winter.

Love the color! Hell I just love those J bodys anyway. Anything you do to the rear suspension I'd sure like to hear about it(and see photos).

nothing done to the rear just yet, but will be soon do to cracking stock beam during a autox. Picking up Beretta beam this week. All I really have done to the suspension is KYB Excel G shocks/struts, convert springs, and bushings.

Damn I have one of those already(it came with the car lol). So are the KYB Excel G's the same as the GR2's? What bushings did you get, the FE3's?

Moog bushings and the Exel Gs are a step down from the GR2 I believe. It was working for me tho, need to center the weight a little better and it should be real strong.

Thankfully the Excel G are the same as the GR2 since they were all Tirerack had for my car.

                    From KYB's website:

What is the difference between the KYB GR-2 and the Excel-G products?

                    GR-2 and Excel-G
We apologize that this is a bit confusing. Both products are identical, except for the product name and paint color.

Me too. I had GR2's on my Cavy and they were nice! I have AGX now and hate them. They are too stiff on setting one with Eibachs. I'm not even going to try any higher setting.

picking up my Beretta axle beam Saturday. Does anyone know if the Jbody brakes will bolt onto the Beretta axle beam?
