  • Camshafts,why not?

    Hey guys,

    Here's a funny proposition;

    If the factory makes roller cams by placing lobes on a tube and swedging them in place...then...

    Why can't they make custom cams for the 660?

    It would seem like a simple matter of throwing a bunch of lobes into a rack and pushing a button.

    If you compare Crane's SB V-8 cams to their 2.8-3.4 selection,they are the same grinds.

    "Hey Chevy! Can I get an LS-7 grind for my X-11?"

    Seriously,how hard would it be to make a ZZ-4 roller grind for a 3.4?

    Wouldn't it be nice;
    If you could get the tube,V6-60 journals,and LS-1>7 lobes,duct tape everything in place,AND with an Elephant gun...

    Seriously,how hard would it be for GM to offer custom roller grinds,I'm sure that they have considered this,all they need are requests.

    Thanks,Lawrence
