actually i think these are the first track times i've ever posted on 60*v6 :P anyway, with the old 3400 best was a 14.5 spinning on drag radials.... now i've got the same cam(my same old 1617 grind from the old sheet) in my 3500.

New motor went in about a week before the v6z24 bash, slips weren't worth damn then b/c street tires just get blown away. Got a set of slick to use last night.....

made 4 runs, this is in order first to last

    13.883 @ 100.09 - 2.002 60'

    13.756 @ 100.57 - 1.984 60'

    13.794 @ 100.27 - 2.089 60'

    14.156 @ 99.31 - 2.046 60' - clutch was slipping like crazy

    Fastest N/A Sunbird FTW

    slips are here:

i was running 24.5-8x14 slicks, at 18lbs. nice burnouts to warm them up, dumping at 4k. clutch was slipping, which was pissing me off, since it's pretty new(but it is broken in so it should be fine). guess EZ stage 3 just isn't enough. oh well, not the end of the world. i'm thinking i could wring a 13.5 out of it if i had a clutch that held better and pumped my rear air bags up a little more, i think they were at about 25lbs.

also, i was JUST getting into 4th. i was gonna see about winding 3rd out until i hit the 7k limiter, to see if it'd take me through the traps, but i decided not too since on that 4th run the clutch slipped pretty bad. wish i had the quad 4th gear still..... but the 3.94FDR was too crazy.

Build your transmission with the quad 4th and 5th gears, like I did. I believe only 90 and 91 have the non fuel saver 5th gear. Basically it is now a W41 gearset with a 3.61 fdr. It was a pain in the ass, lol, but I think it was worth it. What kind of lsd are you running? EP?

no LSD but that's what i would go for if i got one, an E.P.

also, i have a 93 w41 tranny sitting but i don't have the money to pay to have them frankensteined and i can't do it myself, i tried to take apart a junk 88 hm282 to make a lamp and i ended up cracking the casing apart to get the pieces out. it's a badass lamp :P

destroy EPROMs? junked ones? i have a hammer i made a few years ago, weighs almost 5 pounds and has a nice edge on it, cracks through them in one or two swings.... my regular 16oz hammer took dozens, until i grabbed a nail and pierced through the PROM...

i usually have 500-1000 to destroy at a time, a hammer would take all day.. lol

I built this, it works but a gear crusher would be more fun.. especially if i hooked a motor up to it.

do you happen to know what 85 grams of iron oxide and 28.7 grams of aluminum makes? that will remove them VERY quickly and its fun.

                            Lol..

there is a DCI agent about 200' from my shop at all times. They're all cool but i doubt i'd have a job after playing with thermite. I'm pushing it this week with my anodizing project.. i got some funny looks when i hauled a jug of battery acid out of the engine room and into my shop.

About the slippy cltuch, you should drill out the clutch fittings for a more agreesive clutch dump and better speed shifting.
