I've been think of supercharging a 3900. Would have to change the upper intake to mount the SC on it. Would this be a good idea, is the SC too big, how about the cam and cr. The 1900 is equal to 117 cu. in. I was looking at cams, 216/224 dur .585 lift 118 LCA, yes or no, nothing real close in the store. Give me your ideas

I've never seen anyone use 118 lsa? At least not on the 90 deg/60 deg blocks. 114 to 116 should be good.

I got this idea out of Dec 07 Hot Rod. They made 750hp@6700rpms. with a 6.0L GM. With all things equal in a 3900 that's 488hp. That would make me happy.

all things are not and never will be equal, heads flow differently, so do intakes and exhausts

what car is this in? how are you going to satisfy the computer? if you did indeed make that much power i doubt the trans its bolted to would want to hold up for long, just a few things to think about

Superchargers are neat, but unless you own or have cheap access to a machine shop, it will cost you much more than a turbo. If you want 488 hp, also be prepared to build the motor. What you're talking about would probably cost a minimum of $10k... It's doable, but is a fairly large undertaking.

Does this 3900 have the VVT? How would you even tune for that?
