  • Official Turbo Header Thread..

    Well ive got a start on the headers. Im going to need to order some more piping and im waiting on the 3-to-1 header collector and v-band flanges to arrive.. But here is what ive got going.. Headers are all stainless, Pipes are 304ss and flanges are 318 stainless and tig welded:
    * 1 5/8's primaries
    * 3-to-1 collector (1 5/8" inlets w/ 2" outlet)
    * 2" Crossover w/ T4 divided flange (ordering a Twin Scroll turbo housing)
    * LQ1 Head flanges (custom made by Mark at O.E.M, Thanks )

    i will get more pics as they progress.

    The 1st exhaust bank will snake up and around the center bank and center in above both the middle and right bank... should be very clean.

    Which engine are you doing this on?

    My headers have worked fine for now, but I'm interested to see how these turn out. The ones I have don't have good accessibility to some of the bolts except with a combo wrench and are extremely time consuming to install/remove when the engine is in the car.

      This is for a 3.4 DOHC. I will have turbo headers for the pushrods once we have NA taken care of.

                            They use to be obtainable for 30 each shipped (304 ss) [from another place] . That was about a year ago (again, not directed towards the place you purchased yours at) !

                            I in no way am implying that this company (coneeng) is the place I am referring too.

                            Just under 100 for two now, geeesh!!!

                              After seeing this thread you made me just go and buy 3 V-Band clamps... I need to eliminate my 3-bolt flanges on my header and cat/cutout pipe...

                              This will make it MUCH easier to remove the cutout pipe, or the cat pipe and swap back and forth. In this application 1 bolt > 3 bolts...
