  • 3.1 TGP Turbo Setup

I just pulled this setup from a 89-90 TGP with 147K on it. Im not to famialr with Turbo's or slang terms associated with them.

The pics tell the BEST story.

In the first picture you can see the flexible exhaust pipe and how the mount has been torch cut. I have retreived the other side of that and will weld it back together upon sale.

First picture, to the left of the turbo unit is some sensor that hooked into it. Im not sure if this is the "2 bar map sensor" I keep hearign about?

All the stock tubing/piping I could find is there in the pics.

Turbo unit itself... Turbine turns over fine. There was oil and coolant in the respective lines when puller. There doesnt seem to be any axial slop or slop back and forth in the unit. There is a crack by the wastegate. From what I have been told this is extremely common among all turbos and doesnt affect it any...

One other thing I will note, today when I looked at the boost gage on the dash it went to +15 PSI. Im not sure if this turbo is capable of that or not, but thats what it said.

I will do my best to answer any questions asked. I will take pictures of whatever you like.

All Turbo parts in pics is what is for sale, NOT the hood inserts...

PLEASE: if you dont have $CASH$ please dont try to dib this, reserve it or BS me.

Shipping: Will be actual, DHL has had best rates lately IMHO

Refrences: Here you can ask 88GTRacer. Otherwise feel free to stop by my forums if there is ANY question of my character: www.caraudiocentral.net

Price: $600 negotiable. If interested PM me and maybe we can work on it.

Reason for sale already: To many "if's" and "what nots". Also my car is an 88 so it has the 2.8 and also that LOVELY transmission mount right where the turbo goes. Im also moreso focused on my radio over performance, so this is a waste of Turbo...

Do you wanna sell just the injectors? Do you have all 6?

Yes I have all6 injectors. One fell off and I didnt put it back on for the pic.

Turbo is being sold as a kit not parted out. Unless I dont sell it within the next month or two. Then I will part it out providing the majority of parts are sold.

Greetings ohioians! Pat in Medina 44256, your out to sea? Where you at bro?

Ryan, there's your problem! You had a tricycle in the motor!
sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.
