it has tables set up the same way as a DF bin would. this is from a manual tranny car, so it will definitely be blank no matter what. but i've also looked over the couple of automatic A1 BINs i have as well, also blank.

    i'm starting to wonder if a 7727/7730 can run a 4t60-e...

BTW, i don't just run through hacks for no reason.... i made what i believe to be the most complete $A1 XDF to date. i managed to pump it up to 170KB....

EDIT: removed the XDF, newest version is at the TP site

I don't think the 7730/7727 will run the electronic tranny even if the code is there, for one reason - memory. The electonic trannies are run with the 9396 ECM, which added more memory, mainly for the ability to run the tranny.

right, i've read the same thing somewhere before. i know the EPROM has some onboard RAM, but i can't remember how much. it would be nice if i could figure out how to read that section of the code to see what all space is left...

i wonder if you could run it on a 9396 since it is essentialy the same as a 7730 but with memory on it....

          pinout might need changing ??

i dunno... id be willing to try it once im back in my house...next week, but i have no idea what is required lol

since there is only one flag to change to enable it, not much, other than all of the tables related to it are completely blank...

i imagine it could run, but DF has a few advantages over it, i'm not sure why anyone would run A1 in place of it...

pinout might need slight adjustment, just have to match it to a 1227727 running A1, which is any 91-92 3.1 W body...

if you want the diagram, i'll post it.

this should work obviously it's not going to show the pins for the shift solenoids, but it shouldn't be too tough to figure out...

..... you know, for as long as i've thought about it, i don't know why that exact setup didn't cross my mind.

i figured i would have to play with the algorithm enough to allow a 2-BAR MAP with DF to use boost...

                        but now...

8F controlling fuel/spark and DF for tranny... that sounds like a very workable setup.

Are you guys talking 2 PCM's or overlaying 8F and DF code together?

2 PCMs. trying to stitch together 8F and DF could work, but there's much less complexity when going about it this way.

BTW: i just thought of something better:

                            DF + 59
