  • 225/60-15's on a 92 Grand Prix-Will They Fit?

Hello everyone. Does anybody know for sure if I would be able to fit a set of 225/60-15's on a 92 Pontiac Grand Prix LE without any clearance problems?

I know 225 60 16 fits easily so I would think the same of 15s but not sure how far off your speedo will be. Not sure if your rims are wide enough to give the best performance from 225s. 215s were good on my 15" GP rims.

Thanks again Ben. I actually checked online to see how far off my speedo would be and it was only about 2.5%. The tires are brand new and I am getting them cheap but if they might be I problem I don't know if I wanna take the chance. The rims are stock.

Your stock tires should be 205/70/15's wich are approx. 8" at the widest point (about halfway up the sidewall) 5 1/2" from the bead to the tread wich gives you a diameter of 26.2" (tread to tread across the center).

The 225/60/15's are just over 8 3/4" wide and 5 1/4" from the bead to the tread wich gives you a diameter of 25.6"

The 225/60/15's are shorter almost 1/2" on both top and bottom. and are only about 3/8" wider on both sides.

Stop me if I'm wrong but, from the math, I would say "no prob".
