  • 01 3400 Dyno chart

Does this HP output seem low to anyone??

This is a 01 3400 that I built for my beretta, they dyno chart has a few runs in there with a 75 shot and then 100 shot of nitrous, so really only pay attention the the 3 lowest runs.

These were all done with a stock 4t60e, 2.97 gearing, with a 1650 stall converter and rather heavy 16" wheels, approx 50-55lbs each.

Reason I'm asking is because this car will only do a 15.6 at best n/a and thats after changing to 3.33 gearing and a 2060 stall and way lighter rims.

I'm thinking I did something wrong and its not putting out the power it should be. It seems quite flat after 5200 on the street.

If you are running the stock 95 PCM, then I'd say that's your restriction right there.

Not sure what all is done to your engine, but my 01 Grand Am with the 4T45e put down 143.2 HP with the only mod being a borla catback.

Yeah I forgot to list mods, but they mods are FFP Underdrive pully, Tranzgenic cold air intake(doesnt really apply to a dyno run) 2 1/2 downpipe and 2 1/4 exhaust, hollow cat, Mororso spiral muffler and a Flowmaster 80 series. All poly motor mounts, minus the tranny mount, 99 3400 injectors, and at that time i was running the 55psi FPR.

My 95 3100 with a 3400 top end put down 150hp with 150 torque, and that was with approx 160k on the lower end.

So with my motor swap I lost approx 6hp, and gained only 18ftlbs of torque.

I am working on eliminating the 95 ECM I know that hurts a lot, but I'm just lost because in its current state the car will only do a 15.6 at best, and a friend with a Z26 with a 04 3400, same bolt ons minus his exhaust is a borla bullet, and a cat but a 2" intermittent pipe, and Stock trans/converter and he was able to pull a 14.96 with only removing interior, seats, carpet and spare tire.

I'm not sure if the 01 vs a 04 3400 may have less power.

How is your 3100 putting 150 to the ground? Mods?

Don't forget about different axle/gear ratios ya'll. Same engine with the different tranny will give you different dyno #'s and track times.

I don't know. It was all the same mods as what I have now, with a 2" down pipe, stock 3100 manifolds, and it was a 3100 with a 3400 top end, intakes only. Oh and only a WAI

I now have a full 3400 .030 over so its not even the same block or anything.

I have the dyno chart if you want a scan.

My first ever dyno with the 3100 stock, was 123, my second one with the 3400 top end like 20k later was 150, 152 And I dont think he caught that on peak either.
