Is there a large letter on each side of the block @ 2" tall? It should be high on the block above the opsu. If you have it what letter is it?

Punching it into Google comes up as a 93-95 RWD Camaro 3.4L engine.

i punched in 10118608 block into google and the 4th link down was a PDF to a bunch of GM casting numbers. I'll find the link:

              www.enginepartswarehouse.com/enginecatalog/GENERALMOTORS.PDF

somewhere a few pages down in that it mentions the casting number next to the Camaro 3.4 listing.

                letter F

Do all 3.4's have the letter F on the side of the block? If so is it stricly in the Camaro or in various cars? The one in my Camaro has a number at the back horshoe area of the block and has a s in the serial # it also has the big F
on both sides block so i'm assuming it is a 3.4?

RWD 3.4's have the "F", yes. All the differnt type of blocks have a letter on them that makes them easy to identify

EDIT: Except the 3500, it say's "3.5L" on the side, not sure about the VVT stuff.
