3400 manual trans and mechanical gauges

Trying to figure out a couple of things before dropping the engine in the challenge car next week.

i need a pilot bearing for the trans. What do i look for?

im planning mechanical water temp and oil pressure gauges. Where to i put them in the block? Seems like theres no options without drilling and tapping.
