    all done!

    I must say im sick of using cheap grinding stones. I need some REAL porting bits damnit!!

    anyways the install went great. it was a PERFECT fit! imp:

    definately lots more throttle response, and my torque steer is worse at WOT


    heres the TB on the plenum before I ported it

      Cool! Thanks for sharing pics!! So you're still running it until you get new boost parts cool. BTW that blue hose looks out of place! haha Needs to be red! haha I feel ya on the grinding stones.

          i did this not once but twice. first time i got done i was looking at the two plenums i had one was from my 99 and the other from the 05 and around the kneck was really restrictive on the 99 one so i said f it and started again on a 00+ one.



          took me like 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get it done. i was a wee bit upset after finding that out but hey id rather have something that flows better since i just paid all that for the throttlebody.

                  u put this on the GA and r u gonna have one for the beretta also

                      nope gonna be swapping it over when i drive it. ill swap over the whole upper with the throttlebody. no need for me to buy 2 unless someone wants to buy me another 65mm.

                        The TB is, but that doesnt matter. His point was the neck of the 3500 upper is 65mm already... No porting necessary like on a 3400 or 3100 upper.

                          that is the main reason i went to a 3500 uim. I had a ported 3400 that would have cost me $80 to get the plenum to 65mm. Or i found a ported 3500 for $120, tough call huh?
                          Lots of mods cost lots of $$

                              Yeah DIY porting can save you some money but if you don't have good tools it's a PITA!! I wouldn't want to port a TB neck... yuck! Plus the 3500 is a better overall design! Plenum volume FTW!
