  • another windage tray???

What exactly do I need to use a 3400 tray on my 3.4 iron head?

The tray (modified to fit my 4x4 oil pan from my understanding)

    the correct main studs.

the nuts that hold them on.

    Am I correct on this?

Anybody have a clue on the correct studs I need?

you just need 3400 main studs.

alternately, the 3.4DOHC windage tray is a direct bolt-on to the genII(and maybe GenI) motors, using the 3.4DOHC main studs as well.,

Yes it is. I tried the DOHC Pan and it fits perfect on a Gen I block with the DOHC main studs. However the 4X4 pan will need some massaging in oder to fit. A bit of heat from a propane torch and a rubber mallet will do the trick. Modify the pan not the tray

I knew there was something up with the 3x00 windage tray but didn't remember the details. Glad we have an article for that!

I knew I've seen that before and done a search and came up with nothing. Thanks.
