  • Forged Crank?

well i got a 3500 last week and noticed that it does not have the 7484 casting number but the 5922 and tore the block down and saw the parting lines and they are wider then a cast crank here is my thread on v6z24.com is it a forged crank or am i crazy? http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/forg...k-t116343.html

You need better pics. Get a hi res image of the whole thing. Counterweight pics help to.

The parting line appears to be from a forge but there is more too it. Find pics of a known cast crank to compare to.

Ill get some tomorrow the only reason they look that bad is i had the flash off ill take them today in the daylight. the counterweight would be the part where you would tap it to hear a ring right? i've tried to find a shot of the 3500 cast crank to no avail noone has taken them apart or something if someone can post a pic up that would be great.
