  • Crane 272 camaro 3.4????

    Hello, please i need help.
Anyone knows if the crane cams 272 fits into a 95 camaro 3.4?, this due sfi cam has a sensor lobe (or tab).

I know 272 is a big cam but im modding a spare engine with 3500 head swap, the only thing i need to know is if 272 has the sensor tab/lobe.

    Thanks....

I had the Crane 272 in a 2.8 but can't rember if it was designated for the 3.4 or not,as I recall it had a .427 / .454 lift and it isn't that big it has a mild idle.

I think I made a mistake that lift was for a 260 crane cam.

the 272 has a pretty mean lope.

The one I've seen did not have the stuff for SFI. You could still use it though, might set a code but the engine should still run.

Ditto just re-flash the PCM to delete the cam sensor code if its not SFI compatible.

I don't think any of the Crane 272s have the lobe; mine certainly didn't.

Just reprogram to delete the SFI.

Actually according to Alldata, SFI will still be used if there is a 24x sensor present and working. It will just be less accurate apparently.
