hi eveyone. haven't posted here in a long time. anyway. i have recently began driving my wifes 92 grand prix off and on. overall it's a great car and since her family has owned it since new, it's been well taken care of. my only issue with this car is that it's not as peppy as i'm used to. my question is.. are there any bolton level mods that could possible pep this thing up a bit? I'm used to tuning SHOs so i know how it is not having much of an aftermarket, and i don't expect to make this thing super fast or anything. it just really doesn't have much topend and i'm hoping to liven it up a bit. any advice is appreciated.

Swap the engine out if you want top end power, or do a top end swap off a 3400. The gen 2 inake manifolds are very restrictive and you will never get any top end with them unless you boost it.

ok so if i did the 3400 swap would i just need to swap intake manifolds? or heads also? how difficult is it to swap a 3400 into it? also. do these engine respond at all to exhaust mods because i work at an exhaust shop so i could pretty much do anything i want for free.

if you work at an exhaust shop, heck, make yourself a bigger downpipe (the pipe between the rear manifold and the catalyst) stock is 2" and crinkle-bent. When I had my exhaust shop make a 2.5" one for me I felt a nice overall difference, more especially in the upper RPM range (this was on my old '89 Cutlass with the same engine as you)
