  • GM Product Archive of Info

First post here...wasn't sure where to put this...thought that this might be as good a place as any...considering the engine section is labeled "Engine Swaps". I was using the info for the engines and trans, but this covers all the recent updates to the lines...2004 and on.

I ran across this a while back looking for LSX info...then came up again recently when i stumbled onto here looking for 3100 help, and started researching the GM "High Value" 3.5 and 3.9 swap options (but with little to no luck convincing myself to do a full on swap to the daily driver at this point).

Thought some of the group may be interested in the information on the site. covers both cars and trucks, as well as engines, transmissions, (click power train under any of the years to see a pretty good list of everything...options for each line, where the engines were installed...lots of good useful info) even some details about different ECM's (mostly in the "what's new" documents). Only covers 2004 to now (2007), but some of the products haven't changed too much.

If this isn't the right location...please let me know, and i can move or repost in correct area...or the admins can just move it, no big.

Most of the information we have on the engines (Specifications and such) came from that site. That is where all the Yearly Updates and Changes (http://60degreev6.com/forumdisplay.php?f=69) came from as well. We aren't the most up-to-date on some of the information, so its good to have the link for others to check out. I'll probably put the link up in the LINKS area of the site as well.

    Oh, and welcome!

        Nice!

Looks like we have an answer about the LX9 rods now, their specs list them as "Forged Powder Metal" which means they can take a little more abuse than i originally thought...

I have not been thru this site completely, but I came across this:

          CHEVY 60-DEGREE V6

Which comes from a S-Series Enthusiast Website.
