and I'm poking around to see what I can pick up with regards to my 2007 Buick Rendezvous.
I know it's a 3500 LX9...but is it the DOHC? where can I look this up? is there a VIN decoder that will tell me?
Also, an index of some of the acronyms used here would be pretty helpful. some are standard (MAP, MAF IAC EGR PCV...) but for GM-specific (coming from ford world here), I'm lost
    Thanks in advance everyone!

Wiki is a good place for you to start. It is not DOHC. As for acronyms those are the same with all makes. WOT-Tech has things for your engine. There are not to many and they are more for performance.
