When I was tearing apart and rebuilding things for my 3400 > 3500 swap I went through a whole bunch of purple power and an electric pressure washer. Soak, spray, repeat. Did wonders on a salvage yard timing cover and oil pan.

I felt like an 8 year old on Christmas morning when I disembowled what lay inside.
Without further delay....

To summarize, I got the billet thermostat housing, black annodized 3400 TB (bored to 59mm), 3x00 valve covers, and a billet/chrome "3400" oil filler cap.
I'm especially impressed with how great the throttlebody looks am determined to paint my upper intake to match.

Be sure to keep the centerline of the tap inline with the center of the hole. A 12 point socket will fit on the square shank of the tap and makes it much easier to keep the tap lined up. Correct thread depth can be easily maintained without a thread gage or mating part. Simply run the tap in until there are seven threads left exposed. This will work for all sizes of pipe taps.
I will do my best. Your tips ease my mind when it comes to this procedure. I'll be tapping the LIM and doing some grind work on the UIM so that may be the next update
You must not have a Mrs. Mine would have my hind end for having engine parts on the kitchen table, lol. That and ours is 1/4" glass w/ a tapered and rounded edge...
haha there isn't going to be a "Mrs." for many years. I just turned 23 back in february.
And that's not the kitchen table, it's a coffee table
