Test voltage drop with voltometer from battery positive post to the positive AUX terminal with key in on position then do the same with the negative side of the battery to a engine ground or block. Aslo test voltage DC drop from battery positive to the AUX when a buddy is cranking, Do you get a large drop??

You should get 0 on the nose volts DC from 2 points of commonality, common ground to a common ground: common power to a common power. Also check the alt or gen fuse, may also be possible that you blew a fused link.

Probably didn't get all the connections tight or something... Or the new alternator is crap and not charging the battery.
