What, no suckers or tootsie rolls stuck on the carpet where the seat was?

Awesome, now we need a testing video... you know, to make sure it all is 100% functional.

Finally got my progressive nitrous controller in... It's also an RPM window switch and uses the ECU's TPS sensor to register WOT... No more stupid micro switch on the pedal!!!!!

New arm switch... also moved purge button to console... Need to make room for eventually using where I was for power window switch...

    Off

    On

This of course triggered re-wiring of many other items in the car... Yahoo....

Worth the money if you ask me, it's been great since I got it, drawers are tight in the winter but roll really nice now and I'm sure they will loosen up more overtime but the roller bearing are great compared to what I had.

How is the cabinet holding up?

Reason I ask is HF is having a parking lot sale, August 22-24, and the base cabinet will be on sale for $359 and the top for $279. This is a sale price without coupons.

Tags on all the boxes for weight information.

    And a few more pics

Only flaw I've found so far, right side of one drawer is a bit low... Neither drawer hits each other so honestly not a problem at all

I loaded one drawer up with all my air tools and it's still rolls nicely. Right now it's a little tight but that's expected for brand new drawers. I'll get some pics of the drawer setups but they are done really nice and the rollers are good strong ones. I also think the sub 20* temps may be making the grease in them a bit thick so there is more resistance. The deep drawers have two rollers per side too.

I honestly feel the quality of the build is good for the price you pay and for hobbyist like us it's probably the best you'll get without breaking the bank. I looked online and people want close to 2k for a Craftsman box that is close to this setup and they want like 4k for an "extreme tools" 55" roller base ONLY, that's just obnoxious

    This for example...

You can buy near exactly the same thing from HF for $370...

This whole setup was 1093.06 with our local tax and two coupons on the base and top chest... I could have got an extra $10 off if I knew that they would take an inside track club coupon picture in the store... I thought they would only take it if it was the physical cut out coupon. I used a $30 off the base that was in their flyer there was a $40 off inside track club coupon available though, and when I picked up the rest I tried just a picture of the inside club coupon for the top that was $30 off and they took it. I only had to pay ~$700 for the rest of the setup because my Father In-law dropped of the base cabinet Friday and said he'll pick up this one and I can just get the rest.

Nice setup, what did it run you?

Let me know how the drawers feel after getting some tools in it, if you could. Been debating on saving ~$6-700 for a nice Kobalt or Craftsmen set or save some dough and go with the roller US Generals from HF.

I hope this will spur some work on the car once I get all my tools organized in it

Slight upgrade from ole faithful... I'm tired of digging for tools all the time.

Can be re-polished, scrub with white scotch brite then polish with mothers aluminum polish... nifty!

Headers not so shiny anymore... gotta ask them if you can re-polish with any metal polish.

Well everything is torqued and angle set (I actually have and angle wrench now! way better than using a protractor and guessing quite a bit)... just needs the timing cover and oil pan. I'm actually trying out the 3500 lim valley gaskets this time rather than a thick bead of silicone feels like it will seal pretty good, just need a dab where they meet the LIMG, and I cut the nubs off the bottom of the gasket, didn't drill the block... I'll probably drill it the next time I have it out but since the pistons and heads stayed on I didn't want to make a huge mess.
