Boy did I read that wrong. Somehow in my mind(or lack of one) I added 3-4. My 700 would chirp just a little on 3-4 after the engine build(that is where it came from?).
Dave get a 200 4r with a lock up. Man I just got to let it go.

lol
This one has a TH350, kinda rough with the 4.11's. I've already burnt 1/4 tank and i've hardly driven it.

Oh and they did the fad 700 too? Well you know how I feel about the 200 4r.
Yeah that 9in just makes me think of the kids that I went to school with. They would put headers and a Holley on a engine with 100k and say they needed a 12 bolt. That and the 700r4/9in fad that made me sick in first place(everyone had to do it).
Oh well, nice car Dave!

This car chirps the tires on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts at part throttle every time. Definitely built for track use so street driving is going to be fun.
I took a quick video yesterday of it idling, i'll upload it to YT later and post a link.

The news sucks, but I honestly can't say I blame you. Besides, you can't go wrong with old Detroit muscle.

I have to admit i'm a little sad to say this, but this project has some to an abrupt end. I had a chance this weekend to buy one of my dream cars and I couldn't resist. Of course there were conditions from the wife, one of them being that my Camaro has to go.
With that being said, my plan is to pull the engine/trans and all my added electronics, then sell the car as a roller. I don't think i can sell it complete and get what it's worth.
I won't have any use for the trans so if one of you guys is close enough and wants it, i'll give you a good deal. the 4K stall is also up for grabs.
The engine will be last to go, hoping i can get an offer for it complete, otherwise i'll part it out.
The ITB's will be up for sale shortly, i just need to mount them to something and get some pictures. I also have lots of other random parts.
If you are seriously interested in any of it, PM me and maybe we can work something out. I have to pay back the money I borrowed by the end of summer and the sooner the better.
Here is my new project...
'72 Nova, healthy 355, TH350 with a kit, 2500 stall, ford 9" with 4.11's

LOL I had a Grant GT steering wheel in my 83 Z28. What was that other car, a Shadow?

~12.5
Normally I run about 26-28 degrees advance, I was able to bump that up to about 30 in the higher RPM's because the DA was so low.
Here are some more videos..

Fixed, thanks!
One nice thing today was that after a few datalogs I was able to actually shut the computer down. WOT AFR's were dead on all the way down the track, 0 WOT KR and aside from some random stalling (IAC follower issues) the car ran great. Never got over 190F.

made another 10 or so passes today, first 5 were crap but the rest were all on par with previous runs. Still mid 13's. Same traps as i had with the ITB's.
With that being said, i think i may have to throw in the towel on my 12.99 goal with this setup. It's just not going to happen with a 700R4.
On a good note, I weighed the car on a calibrated scale today and it was 2950 lbs. A little of that is the passenger seat that I left in and a few tools and misc things floating around. I didn't have my skinnies on the front, just the IROC's so there is another 60 lbs extra.
new video from today..
I'm hovering around 100 passes on this engine, need to run a compression test and see how it's holding up. I have a feeling that it's probably a little low.Last edited by Superdave; 06-02-2013, 09:57 PM.
