Thanks Jon, lol
I happen to like the aluminum bumpers on the early cars, the polisher sent me some cell pics of how they are coming out

It would look like a 3rd grader did it if you did haha
Now you see it...

Metal welded in...

Now you don't (just primer for rust protection, not a body man haha)...

Well there's a slight oil leak between the head and block, so had a spare head milled .010" and got the .051" custom gasket to raise compression, so parts are here and ready to go once there's time to set aside for it.
We sent the white Camaro over to paint a couple weeks ago and will be back Monday and they are picking my car up to go back in the booth
Spent a couple hours on it, got the side skirts permanently mounted so they can be molded properly, new pass side bumper filler, and got her just about stripped down of trim to go to the booth. My painter wants to change up the color scheme a bit, let's see what he comes up with. He said since he is painting the F/R valences and skirts, will block the whole car down, skim where needed and spray the whole thing again. Love having good friends! I want to stay with Delphin, he wants to go to gun metal, but there's nothing uglier than a non-matching engine bay, even thought the jambs and all will be re-painted this time.
Anyways, gonna shave the antenna hole tomorrow and use the rear defroster as the antenna, live in FL and don't need the rear def much lol.
Anyways, here how she sits now...

Used the old HG and made a t-shirt lol

Got tired of all the oil leaks, took 2hrs of shop time a few weeks ago and pulled the motor...

While working on the secret Camaro, blasting, painting and installing new parts, threw my bimmer parts in with...

Got new front/rear crank seal, cam seal, valve cover gaskets, oil drainback tube o-rings, oil pan gasket, timing cover gasket, rear main seal boss gasket, all new hardware etc (20yr ols plastic and rubber tend to deteriorate).

if i whacked a bmw like that- i wouldnt stop, im sorry, but its a BMW-most people look at that as its probably some rich asshole that's going to nail them to the wall for some cosmetic damage.
if it had been a chevy & he didnt stop id say $$ an a decent ass whooping would be in order. but its a BMW, so that might explain why he was too scared to get back to you.Lol.Originally posted by Chadwilkins View PostIt's an 80's 3 series. Not exactly the ride of a prince.
People who drive e30's, they drive them because they like them. Maybe it's just the people I have met, but they are all working class/small business owners that like the ease of wrenching and cheap parts, yet have a car that is well built. Here's what we did to one...

new exhaust on it today with scraps laying around the shop and a free muffler from the mechanic next door, snatched it up before the car was brought to the wrecker
Did this quick during a "lunch break", you can see the other work I was on in the background...
It's a little too loud, either need a resonator or baffles, not sure yet.
Uses a high flow cat, 2.5" pipe and a DTM racing muffler, all stuff i had laying around the shop lol...
