Actually I was bored while replacing bushings, and decided to try to burn them out before I got my hydraulic press.

They have a thin metal casing, so this did nothing but smell. The press took care of it all though.

I had to do the same for my leaf spring bushings when I did my shackles and mounts. get it good and hot, then use a bolt and nut with a hammer to pull the sleeve and bushing clean through. The leaf spring bushings were done outside, but when I took this pic, my truck had absolutely no front suspension under it, lol. New axle pivot bushings (in the pic, but obviously the old one), new radius arm bushings, new sway bar bushings and shocks ftw.
