I'm not a fan of the instant, but if you go to search preferences you can change it back to normal.

Mine is still colored as well, but saw that in the article, so figured I'd link it. Not sure how I like Google Instant though... It'd be interesting to see how they have it coded though (for us geeky people).

I messed with it some. I thought it was pretty neat. I'm always on google too. It's my homepage, and I have the toolbar since 80% of the time I fire up FF, I'm looking for some sort of information. I wouldn't mind some option to change it to my normal google logo pic since it had some entertainment value for someone worn out after work.

Now it's just gray, how lame.Google Instant Search : http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/web/09/...ex.html?hpt=T2Originally posted by CNNVisitors to the U.S. version of Google's search page early Wednesday found that its usual multicolored logo had turned gray. But with each keystroke in the search box, one letter got its color back.

It looks like we're not the only ones doing some crazy things with our logo tonight. Google's latest logo doodle is currently setting the web on fire -- or driving people insane, depending on what you read. Sure, it's nothing new for Google to change its logo, but today's variation is particularly interesting because it's in motion. Dozens of dots or balls makes up the standard blue, red, yellow, and green logo today. When you first load up Google.com, these dots are scattered all over the place but quickly fall into the Google logo. But when you move your mouse anywhere near this logo, the dots freak out and jump all over the page.

I noticed that earlier and messed with it a bit... neat but pointless.
I do enjoy the switch up though.

Still works for me in FF and IE8. And its more than a ball, it is the entire logo, which is made up of multiple balls. FF is definitely a better presentation of it though, as the balls change size.

Google
Anyone else play with the Google logo today? Pretty cool, albeit weird. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, goto www.google.com and move your cursor over and around the logo...Tags: None
