yeah dave but your car was also powerful enough to spin the rim INSIDE the slicks.. lol.

Just the premium ones from Autozone, with Sprint springs.

i had 1-2" of rise in the front and about 1" drop in the rear.

Mars has air bags like isaac said. I looked into them on my car and for the $50 I'm going to throw a set on. It was either that or I was going to machine a chunk of nylon and cram it between the buffer and block inside the coil.

Since my daughter got some good footage from the side of my car launching I could see how much rise i was getting. I have about 1/2" rise in front and roughly 3/4" sink in back. I'm running Eibach springs and Monroe sensa-trac struts. I think the air bags may help a bit, especially with slicks and a posi-unit.

What kind of struts did you have on the car Dave?

I have koni yellows all the way around, and some REALLY stiff springs in the rear, and everyone said my car did not budge during launch. I still don't believe them.

i was getting high 1.9's most of the day, after the air line melted and the bags deflated i was down into the low 1.8's again.

limiter straps would have been the only option to stop the front end from rising and i didn't feel like going that far with it.

I have Canuch springs, KYB struts/shocks, and it still squats like crazy.

But the 60' times are right at 2.00 (1.97 best) and the car hooks pretty hard with the DR's.

The new goodies could put that to the test and at that point I'm going to have to re-think this.

Some of the J-Body guys have messed with those spacers that "screw" into the coil springs to try and stop the squat, but I'm not sure how safe they might be.

maybe the rebound on the front struts was FUBAR?

think aerodynamics had any effect? if so, maybe a speed-based deflation would be beneficial... unless the 60' times were worse as well, in which case, never mind.

I don't know. I have Eibachs and the KYB Gas-A-Just shocks which are a lot stiffer than KBY GR2's. My rear end squats a lot still. The orange car, not so much, it just goes to straight spinning the wheels... LOL

not necessarily. i bet the same shock system wouldn't have ANY transfer of weight to the rear of a FWD car... not until you get to some hellaciously sticky tires and a LOT of grunt...
