i wouldn't change more than 20% fuel at a time in a situation like this... so anything that says .799 or less, just see it as .800 and go from there.

well i'm working on my VE tables (any surprise there?) but i'm wondering if some of the adjustments (i.e. .424) are just a little too radical. Believe you me this car is running pig rich, but i'd rather not have an extremely lean condition where my car decides to go....

    Kaboom!!

Either way... i'm making those changes then we'll see if it's as rich as last time when it set off an 02 Rich error code and seemed to more or less run like poo poo.

you'll need a V5 log to use the simpler setup...

    procedure is:

copy old VE table into spreadsheet
copy BLM and INT histograms into spreadsheet
copy new main and idle VE tables into tunerpro
    press save
    burn

somewhere along the way, you'll want to manually check to see that no bad packets got sent through the ALDL and give some crazy INT number... when mine has a transmission error, it's almost always 800RPM at 100kPa.... i really don't know why though. it's something i'll have to ask mark when he's not busy.

so whats the procedure then? Will i have to datalog again using V5 to get data for my adjustments or is the datalog i have right now adequate?

gotcha, so ADS is now ADX.

    just downloaded TP, thanks.

I'll take a look at the VE tables in V5. Will it be easy enough for me to adjust using fuel trim or will you have to go over it with me once?

you're doing it wrong? and ADX is the new file format for datastream definitions, it replaces the ADS...

direct download of the newest version...

    ok i'll download it.

and by ADX you mean what??

is that another term for .xdf or .ads?

btw, tuner pro's website wants me to pay for V5. Are you sure there is a free way to download it?

have to buy? no, you just get the 10 second nag. i believe if you get in touch with mark, he has a reduced price for people that have bought previous versions...

how does it make it easier: V5 is basically an upgraded version of the scannerpro engine, except now it's stable and is VERY customizeable, allowing things that V4 never could.

lucky for you, i play with A1 all the time, so i have a decent dash and features for it already designed and tested.

my autotuning stuff is EXTREMELY simplified. all you have to do is literally copy the VE table, the BLM and INT history( though i am working on a version that only needs one table) and then it does everything for you instantly. just copy the corrected main and idle tables into TP, click save, burn and go.

honestly, i would be using V5 due to the differences in how data can be manipulated....

but with V4, i wouldn't split the data up.
