The installer said it was a 1996. He removed it from the donor and had the title. It was for a '96. but ...............

Are you sure its a 96? Kind of hard to tell due to the angle, but that sure looks like an A-body throttle body with the built-in MAF, and I was thinking that was only a 93-95 thing. I could be wrong though...
