okay i think i found one at a local yard with only 42K on it. Its been stripped though of most of the stuff. What all do I need to ask for when getting it that is REALLY important? I know the ECM does not come with it, but i read that an older one will work just as well? Any other necessity parts i should ask about?

Here is a cam designed for N/A use in a LX9 3500.
kinda like 3400-95-Modified's but with a little more duration and a closer LSA.
Here is an example of the torque you can expect from a LX9 with the right cam..

I would go with something a little more like 3400-95-Modified's, It should still make the same torque but the power band will be a little more usable

That car got sold to Z26-T and he went on a 2 year mission, he should be coming back soon. I was speaking with him on one of the L body boards. He was going to sell me the headers cheap since he was going turbo. That car had a 5spd swap too.

Yes, I'm the first one who cut up a set of S&S's to put in our cars... One person before me did a set of TOG's but I never heard anything of that car after seeing it on CarDomain.

Everythings listed in my sig.. Its the duration and the overlap of my cam that makes it sound like that. Its a Boost orientated cam since I run nitrous.
Its just S&S Headers and a Edelbrock SDT muffler for exhaust.
