I do not doubt you at all, I actually like the suggestion. I know you have to flush your system more regularly, but that would be ok to protect the integrity.
Can you link some info for me on this, I'm going to refine a search.

I dont think it was dropped, this is the re-placement set I got!

I think it broke for this reason VVV and also the fact the head was still fairly hot when i was tapping it.
The metal expanded at different rates and SNAP!
Im waiting to go to the machine shop (need a ride)
I think Im just going to do the other ones why I have the head off.

I wonder if your helicoil set was dropped/abused before you got it. The taps are heat treated to be very hard and can be very brittle.

Maybe he was waiting for the 'ping' you hear when you tighten your head down. lol
This problem got way out of control, way fast. I think It broke cause as it got further into the head, the temp was hotter and hotter, it expanded and broke where it was still cold. I had a 30" floor fan laying in the engine bay prior to the 'surgery'.
Since I'm getting a new helicoil set, I will have 10 coils. I'm just going to do the other 5 back there.
I wish I had a TIG, I would put a short hollowed out bolt in there and weld that biach on there and back it out... Tomorrow it will be done.
Updated the old thread to direct to the new one.

Might want to update your thread over on GAGT.com, since they are still providing possible causes...

Yes orange GM DEXCOOL. Thats always been the way I've known it to be, but I'm only 23.
The gaskets, after inspecting them still have a very rubber-like feel to them, they arent cracked or hardened, so I am going to re-use them. (just LIM, not the head)

Did you properly tourqe the LIMG in sequence? i thin kits 14INLB, 80INLB and 114INLB? i might be off a bit but its along those lines...
I properly TQ'd it, cause this ported one that just came off ISNT cracked.
It was my dads mechanic who cracked it, cause I had to do headgaskets 3 months later and I was pissed when I pulled it off.
    OLD ONE...

    OK!
Got the head off, valves, and pistons look good.
Finally, I get to relax tomorrow. Nothing Is open here until
    Monday.
I HOPE when I go into the machine shop the guy says, 'Oh, ya, no problem give me 15 minutes!' haha Seeing the glass half-full or half-empty, your choice.
Now to the pics that I feel Ya'll need to see, at least I dont feel like I'm in this alone, so thanks Guys. My ex-girlfreind/roomate is not the type to be inclined to learn about something she dosent care about... I'm having fun though! Stay tuned

Gaskets that aren't even a week old.

But in this cae...Why not sped the money on brand new gaskets to get back your peace of mind and not have the gasket issue waking you up at 3 AM with wonder and worry?...
In kentucky its a law that you can beat your wife with a stick no thicker than your thumb.
    EDT* On Sundays....Haha

Man, How I would love to replace them, But I saved for 3 months to get the 3400comp set cause I needed the gaskets and that's a screamin deal. but anyways, I dont want to get in over my head at the moment.
Machine shop=$ Other parts an accesories needed=$

I had already looked at these and considered it, but being my DD it is imminent that this be handled in a timely manner, I would love to go Cost-effective, but I cant wait for something to come in the mail.

My helicoil set was replaced and at this stage Im going to Re-tap all them on the head. The level of difficulty will be half with the head off. I have all night to do this and It really dosent bother me to teardown-build-teardown-build.

Ya I would really liked to have gotten it out but I'm at that point.
