Intake
The only intake for the 60v6 I know of is the edelbrock torker II. I have one, and I was wondering if it flows better than the TBI manifold on my 93 2.8? I've been studying on that for a few days now. The edelbrock has different size ports for the driver side. they are smaller. it looks like they did that because of the EGR cross over. I'm designing an adapter plate to mount the TBI on the edelbrock, but now i'm wondering which one does flow better?

I know I want a 3.1 or 3.4 bottum end. That heads can I use? I'm going to get the 4 bbl intake off of summit. What car should I look for to pull the heads off of? Will there be an issue with compression ration? Running e85 if nessecary.

Agreed. 86 or later iron heads with a gasket match and bowl blend is about as good as it gets in your garage without spending big coin on port work and flow matching. You can attempt to port them yourself but without any flow bench to quantify your results your guess is as good as it gets.

As far as I know, the only carb intake manifolds that exist fit only iron heads, so there are no really "good" heads for that application. Iron heads on fuel injected engines do have slightly larger valves than the ones supplied with carbs

Whats the best block/head combo for a RWD carbed setup. I'm wanting to run a 4 barrel. No FI until I can afford turbo manifolds.Tags: None
