    I've gone past that, but not for an extended period. mine were usually in the 16's with lean cruse enabled.

    yes it would be. lean AFRs do have high cylinder temps...

    it's why i am kind of wary about leaning it out above 16.2:1... it's what i run for highway fuel mode... i think any leaner, and it would start misfiring or knocking...

    Agreed, I have not noticed any difference in my Mileage with the EGR removed. I did notice when I took my headers off that my mileage sucks. A well designed header should increase fuel economy, which is a plus if your car is a street strip car.

    I turn the EGR off and no mpg loss to stock. If you are adding egr, then possibly, but that goes against my goals of efficiency.
